摘要: Mitochondria are the main intracellular location for fuel generation; however, they not just power plants but involved in a range of other functions including regulation redox homeostasis and cell fate. Dysfunction mitochondria will result oxidative stress which is one underlying causal factors variety diseases neurodegenerative diseases, diabetes, cardiovascular cancer. In this paper, generation reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (ROS/RNS) mitochondria, regulatory roles certain mitochondrial proteins, impact on fate be discussed. The current state our understanding dysfunction pathological states how we could target them therapeutic purpose also briefly reviewed.
