摘要: Induced changes in the demographic traits of harvested populations produce ecological responses to mortality that are not generally predicted by traditional models. Strong plasticity maturation rates—commonly observed among intensely populations—varies time between birth and reproduction an individual, thereby affecting a population's growth rate. We developed general model explore how density-dependent rates affect both population persistence overcompensation, situation which abundance increases response harvest. find dampens or eliminates overcompensation populations. However stage-specific harvest strategies, rather than those target evenly, could elicit strengthen overcompensatory response. Therefore, occurrence species may be context-dependent. Our results also demonstrate faster allows with low juvenile survival persist under much greater pressures maintain higher levels adult when plastic. compensatory age at maturity can greatly amplify effort required reduce collapse rates. Accounting for this effect critical invasive control eradication, as well conservation ecologically and/or economically important
