‘Emotionality’ and adrenal cortical function: Effects of strain, tests, and the 24-hour corticosterone rhythm

摘要: Summary Open-field testing of rats and mice did not yield significant behaviour-steroid correlations in experiment 1. In 2 albino hooded maintained under a 12 hr light-dark regimen were observed reaction-to-handling situation an open-field at the peaks troughs previously determined 24 rhythm adrenal cortical activity. Strain differences test to lesser extent open-field, independent time testing. Hooded animals had heavier glands than albinos, but neither weight nor plasma corticosterone values related emotionality. The response behavioural varied as function which it occurred.
