摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on sympatho-vagal imbalance in hypertension and effects of therapeutic interventions hypertension-related autonomic dysfunction. Autonomic control the cardiovascular system undergoes profound changes with resultant sympathetic activation parasympathetic inhibition. The nervous also participates this heart rate increase, due to tachycardic adrenergic neurotransmitters have sinus node activity. Data collected hypertensive patients an end-stage renal disease indicate that condition seen high blood pressure state a further potentiation. Given relevance dysfunction development or progression as well end-organ damage, deactivation represents important goal nonpharmacological pharmacological aimed at lowering elevated values. There is evidence some pharmacologic classes antihypertensive drugs may elicit sympathoinhibitory effects, while other leave unchanged, even increase drive.
