摘要: Low temperature (cold) plasma finds an increasing number of applications in biology, medicine and agriculture. In this paper, we report a new effect induced morphing movements Venus flytrap Mimosa pudica. We have experimentally observed activation sensitive plant structures these plants similar to stimulation their mechanosensors vivo. Application atmospheric pressure argon jet the inside or outside lobe, midrib, cilia Dionaea muscipula Ellis induces trap closing. Treatment pudica by pinnules petioles effects mechanical stimulation. conducted control experiments simulations illustrate that gas flow UV radiation associated with are not primary reasons for effects. Reactive oxygen nitrogen species (RONS) produced cold air appear be reason plasma-induced phytoactuators plants. Some RONS known signaling molecules, which plants' developmental processes. Understanding mechanisms could promote plasma-based technology future use protection from pathogens. Our work offers insight into trigger movement.
