摘要: Agricultural pesticides can become persistent environmental pollutants and their use is destined to be reduced. Consequently, weed control shifting green products strategies. A combined approach, made of pelargonic acid based herbicide spraying interspecific competition (i.e. seeding plants species competing for growth against weeds) could boost the weeding effect. In case contemporary spraying, needed reduce costs, seed coating necessary as barrier toxic effects but, at same time, has endowed with right features allow germination. This work aims verify feasibility using cellulose acetate/cardanol (CA/Card) polymer–plasticizer blend identify possible relationship between material germination rate. For these purposes, untreated treated coated seeds through solvent evaporation methods (CA/Card ratios from 0/0 100/0) were subjected test. Coatings characterized SEM, EDX, media uptake, DSC mechanical analysis without conditioning in conditions. Germination test showed that 70/30 seeds, herbicide, presented best assays presence reduced slowed (without stopping) equally treatment. was conclude CA/Card coatings allowed a effect herbicide. Thus resulted suitable spraying/interspecific applications. No strong correlations found germination, but it plausible hypothesize both water absorption properties play an important role have optimized improve rate avoiding difficulty sprouting. Finally, study opened new perspective acetate waste sources such cigarette filters.
