Toward a model of self pathology underlying personality disorders: narratives, metacognition, interpersonal cycles and decision-making processes.

摘要: If we want to explain the links between various and heterogeneous elements--symptoms, dysfunctional forms of behavior poor social functioning--making up personality disorders, need model a self pathology that portrays dysfunctions, among them, how their interactions maintain disorders over time. In our view, most likely elements are: a. problematic contents (thoughts emotions)--experienced subjectively as states mind organized in form narratives; b. shortfalls ability, termed meta-cognition, reflect on mental states, both oneself others; c. pathogenic interpersonal schemas; d. maladaptive decision-making processes.
