摘要: This study was implemented to compare the value of PET, CT, and dual-modality PET/CT imaging for assessing gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) response imatinib therapy. Methods: Twenty patients with histologically proven GIST underwent 18F-FDG before 1, 3, 6 mo after start Separate PET CT datasets, side-by-side fused images were evaluated according World Health Organization, Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors, European Organisation Research Treatment Cancer criteria therapy response. Hounsfield units (HU) assessed on images. A mean follow-up period 381 ± 134 d served as standard reference. Results: The numbers lesions detected all 135 249 279 evaluation, 282 Tumor correctly characterized 95% 1 100% 3 PET/CT. viewed side by correct 90% at mo. accurately diagnosed 85% found be accurate 44% mo, 60% 57% HU decrease least 25% 12 14 responders Conclusion: should a combination morphologic functional imaging. Image fusion combined can provide additional information individual cases when compared CT.
