摘要: Abstract The presence or absence of a specific acetylcholinesterase (AChE) band was determined by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis on 272 second trimester amniotic fluid samples. AChE absent from 176 normal samples, including seven which had been scored as false positives alphafetoprotein (AFP) assay. It present in all 30 samples open neural tube defects, four negatives AFP In the remaining 66 pregnancies with abnormal outcome, an general when raised and it normal. However, six cases congenital nephrosis no band, while two ending spontaneous abortion AFP. These results suggest that is valuable confirmatory technique for early prenatal diagnosis fetal abnormalities.
