Land use changes and dynamics over the last century around churches of Moldavia, Bukovina, Northern Romania – Challenges and future perspectives

摘要: Abstract In this study, the land use around Churches of Moldavia, UNESCO WH (World Heritage) sites, has been analysed using photo interpretation and GIS. The cartographic analysis used historical maps modern orthophotos to highlight main changes that took place over last century in area surrounding which extended 1 km buffer. Historical years 1917, 2005, 2016 have processed identify present one most well-known areas Eastern Europe. Monuments a significant universal, national, local value, contributing touristic development area. important processes can affect integrity monuments are deforestations anthropogenic environmental changes. Significant Probota, Humor, Patrauti Arbore churches, while Sucevita, Voronet Moldovita churches still preserve natural landscape specific Bukovina area; Suceava church is part strongly urbanised landscape.
