摘要: Perilipin 2 (PLIN2) is a protein involved in lipid storage and metabolism non-adipose tissues. Detectable levels of circulating PLIN2 (cPLIN2) have been reported to be associated with some types cancer, but no systematic analysis age-related modifications cPLIN2 has ever performed. We measured serum group old people including centenarians comparison young subjects tested possible correlations parameters body composition, fat glucose metabolism, inflammation. found that: i. do not change age, women higher respect men; ii. strongly correlate BMI, as well lean mass; iii. the proinflammatory adipokine leptin. Due adipogenic activity leptin, it hypothesized that affected possibly regulated by this pleiotropic adipokine. Moreover, these results suggest (possibly together leptin) could assumed proxy for adiposity.
