摘要: Background We conducted a randomized, controlled trial of circumferential pulmonary-vein ablation for the treatment chronic atrial fibrillation. Methods A total 146 patients with mean (±SD) age 57±9 years who had fibrillation were randomly assigned to receive amiodarone and undergo two cardioversions during first three months alone (the control group) or in combination ablation. Cardiac rhythm was assessed daily telephonic transmissions one year. The left diameter severity symptoms at 12 months.
