摘要: OBJECTIVE Weissella confusa F213 (WCF213) and Lactobacillus rhamnosus FBB81 (LrFBB81) are two probiotic candidates isolated from humans in our previous study. Their functional activity on the mucosal barrier has not yet been adequately investigated. Therefore, objective of this study was to investigate effect these strains maintaining integrity vitro. Caco-2 cell monolayers were pretreated with WCF213 LrFBB81 before being exposed hydrogen peroxide. The cells evaluated by measuring transepithelial resistance (TER), flux FITC-labelled dextran, ZO-1 protein distribution help an immunofluorescence method. RESULTS found significantly maintain TER better than control peroxide-treated (p < 0.001), followed strain combination, alone (p < 0.05). permeability mucosa also successfully maintained strain. This illustrated significant reduction dextran (p < 0.05), which larger that exhibited other groups. strain-treated showed less disruption cells, consistent FITC experimental results. These findings indicate plays important roles maintenance a strain-dependent manner.
