摘要: Cardiac troponins serve as serum biomarkers of myocardial injury. The current study examined the influence age on concentrations cardiac troponin I (cTnI). An ultrasensitive immunoassay was used to monitor cTnI in Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats and Erythrocebus patas monkeys different ages. mean were highest 10-day-old compared 25-, 40-, 80-day-old SD rats. Cardiomyocyte remodeling apparent hearts from evident by hypercellularity, irregularly shaped nuclei, moderate numbers myocytes undergoing mitosis apoptosis. concentration 5 newborn considerably higher than that three 1-year-old monkeys. Evidence cardiomyocyte also observed these (loss myofibrils cytoplasmic vacuolation). Commercial animal samples analyzed. detected fetal equine porcine found adult Likewise, bovine had (>2,400 pg/ml) did caprine laprine (2.5-2.7 pg/ml). present age-related differences concentrations, with levels occurring at younger This effect consistent across several species.
