Initial eccentricity in deformed {sup 197}Au+{sup 197}Au and {sup 238}U+{sup 238}U collisions at {radical}(s{sub NN})=200 GeV at the BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider

摘要: Initial eccentricity and fluctuations of the interaction volume created in relativistic collisions deformed {sup 197}Au 238}U nuclei are studied using optical Monte Carlo (MC) Glauber simulations. It is found that nonsphericity noticeably influences average central collisions, enhanced from deformation. Quantitative results obtained for Au+Au U+U at energy {radical}(s{sub NN})=200 GeV.
