摘要: Abstract People with schizophrenia show atypical patterns of lateralization, including reduced structural and functional asymmetries in language-related brain regions. Given conceptualization a continuum schizotypal traits, people normal but high levels traits may also exhibit language lateralization. The present study was thus designed to examine lateralization the general population as function self-rated traits. Ninety participants (M = 31, F = 59) completed lateralized lexical decision task measures assessing handedness schizotypy (O-LIFE; Mason, Claridge, & Jackson, 1995). Results indicated that performance not affected by schizotypy: both low O-LIFE scores showed similar right visual field (i.e., left hemisphere) advantage. Hierarchical regression confirmed when participant gender were controlled, did predict Such findings indicate observed is evident, even lesser degree, healthy These data degree discontinuity between schizotypy. Structural imaging investigation needed further investigate these suggestive behavioral findings.
