摘要: Objectives: Results of previous studies have suggested that depression and depressive symptoms are more prevalent in females than males. Gender differences personality factors, especially neuroticism, may play a key role the gender difference depression. But it is possible instruments to measure gender-biased. The aims this study were detect using different screening further examine their relation traits. Methods: sample consisted 550 young male female university students northern Taiwan. We studied with Chinese version Gotland Male Depression Scale (GMDS) Beck Inventory (BDI). also used Tridimensional Personality Questionnaire (TPQ) investigate novelty seeking, harm avoidance, reward dependence depressed subjects. Results: No found prevalence or among self-reported subjects GMDS BDI. existed all three TPQ dimensions GMDS. With BDI, we only total scores significantly higher significant correlations between HA severity both genders. Conclusions: younger ages relatively homogeneous social backgrounds not explain
