摘要: Obesity is associated with hyperestrogenism along other hormonal abnormalities affecting the menstrual cycle. The most effective and decisive method of obesity treatment bariatric surgery. aim this study was to analyze impact surgery on cycle, incidence abnormalities, hyperandrogenism manifestation, contraception use. It a cross-sectional 515 pre-menopausal women who had undergone between 1999 2017 in center. Data collected via anonymous questionnaire, questions covered 1-year period before last year questionnaire completion. Before surgery, 38.6% patients reported irregular menstruations comparison 25.0% after (RR = 0.65; 95%CI 0.53–0.79). mean number per did not differ (10.2 ± 3.9 vs 10.4 ± 3.3; p < .45). There were no statistically significant differences terms prolonged menstruations, acne, hirsutism prevalence. A total 14.4% estrogen-based use 15.0% (p < .95). frequency OC (11.0% 13.6% 12 months 11.5% at moment survey administration; p < 0.46). Bariatric improves regularity cycle obese reproductive age. lack any changes combined (CHC) use, especially OC, may be result possibly low level counseling.
