摘要: The possible acceleration of cosmic rays at the terminal shocks OB star winds is investigated. Interest focused on interaction region downstream shock, its acceleration, and transmission properties. Particles to be accelerated can come from (stellar energetic particles), shock itself through injection out stellar wind plasma, interstellar medium, possibly interface between shocked ambient medium. It shown that particles lose far too much energy in expanding relevant. Estimates scattering mean free path indicate postshock convection prevents access unless collapses due cooling a low density Disregarding electrons, shock-injection nucleons, as estimated analogous results Earth's bow solar wind, will yield nonrelativistic nucleons with power law distribution momentum approx.p/sup -4/ if they shock.
