摘要: The mixture of hydrogen peroxide and iron oxide (goethite, α-FeOOH) particles was investigated as a potential chemical oxidant for treatment waters contaminated with synthetic organic pollutants. oxidation rate model compound, n-butyl chloride (BuCl) measured by laboratory experiments at various dosages pH alkalinity conditions. BuCl correlated decomposition peroxide. stoichiometric ratio the optimum were established BuCl. results indicated that oxidized effectively hydroxyl radical generated from interaction FeOOH particles. remained independent solution alkalinity. Therefore, this heterogeneous process promises to be more effective than other processes including O 3 /UV, H 2 /O , /UV /Fe +2 which are adversely affected varying high levels.
