摘要: A 58-year-old man was admitted because of perforation the small intestine by a gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). First, including GIST resected; and then 2 month later, part liver (S5) conforming to metastatic lesion surgically removed. Twelve months another metastases found, surgical treatment recommended; but patient requested non-surgical therapy, so radiofrequency ablation (RFA) successfully performed. After that, recurrence metastasis not observed, observed on fifth lumbar vertebra; administration imatinib mesylate started. 28 after initial still invisible, bone had grown. The is alive with good performance status. This report shows that multi-modality therapy surgery, RFA effective for GIST.
