摘要: Colloidal semiconductor quantum rods are exciting materials from both fundamental and technological points of view. The electronic optical properties these governed by the decrease in confinement charge carriers along long axis cylindrical symmetry particles. Their intrinsic properties, such as highly controlled characteristics, advantageous biological labeling, photovoltaic devices light emitting diodes. Thanks to advances development strategies for synthesizing colloidal that made available. availability provides a platform investigation their stimulating exploration promising applications. This review article focuses on recent synthesis monodisperse rods. issues associated with anisotropic growth nanocrystals facet, surface energy, selective binding surfactant, kinetics thermodynamics were addressed, interpreted discussed. Synthetic rods, being different one another, introduced mechanisms revealed. progress synthetic provided basis many inspiring applications fields photocatalysis, opto-electronic devices, bio-labeling other advanced
