摘要: The methanogens are strictly anaerobic archaebacteria which utilize hydrogen or acetate for the production of methane. They biotechnological importance since their activities rate-limiting in digestion soluble wastes; removal controls degradation volatile fatty acids such as propionic and butyric while pH within digester. process may be improved by genetic manipulation thus our work is directed towards developing gene-transfer systems both hydrogenotrophic (Methanobacterium, Methanobrevibacter) acetotrophic (Methanosarcina) species occurring mesophilic digesters.
