摘要: Publisher Summary Intermediate filament (IFs) probably represents one of the last functionally important macromolecular protein assemblies eukaryotic cell whose biological role has not yet been unveiled. This chapter discusses cellular function IFs, which is based on some characteristic reactivities their constituent subunits with nuclear components in vitro. The structure and IF proteins oligo- polymeric forms are compared a variety gene-regulatory factors matrix elements shown to have many features common these compounds. class regulatory DNA binding which, accordance developmentally tissue-specifically regulated expression, may play an differentiation as major functions.
