摘要: Studies were conducted to evaluate the effect of environmental conditions on physiological characteristics seeds sorghum genotypes viz., CO 24, 25, 26 and JH 35 during seed development maturation. In present study, a steady decline in moisture content was observed. Length width increased rapidly between seven days after 50 per cent flowering. A steep increase dry weight registered 14 flowering, beyond that gradual. Water absorption declined from 16.5 12.0 7 28 increasing steadily 42 (22.1 cent) The germination potential improved with maturity. root length, shoot seedling, field emergence, recovery, yield vigour index highest harvested at Seed as estimated through stress tests soaking ammonium chloride D-manitol accelerating ageing exhaustion revealed superiority having maximum germinability, viability These stages respectively correspond harvestable
