摘要: Global sea ice products are produced from the Earth Observing System (EOS) Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on board both Terra and Aqua satellites. Daily extent ice-surface temperature (IST) available at 1- 4-km resolution. Validation activities have been undertaken to assess accuracy of MODIS IST product South Pole station in Antarctica Arctic Ocean using near-surface air-temperature data a meteorological drifting buoys. Results study areas show that under clear skies, ISTs very close those air temperatures with bias -1.1 -1.2 K, an uncertainty 1.6 1.7 respectively. It is shown uncertainties would be reduced if actual surface were reported instead temperature. not possible get accurate presence even thin clouds or fog, however Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer-EOS (AMSR-E) satellite, it may develop relationship between MODIS-derived derived AMSR-E. Since AMSR-E measurements generally unaffected by cloud cover, they used complement measurements.
