摘要: AbstractA modified Kock pouch was constructed in 16 patients with cancer of the bladder whom cystoprostatectomy indicated. Surgery entailed creation a 1 valve for prevention reflux. The then anastomosed to urethral stump. There no operative mortality. Followup ranged between 3 and 9 months. Excretory urograms revealed excellent upper tract function good evacuation minimal residual urine. Urodynamic studies demonstrated volume capacity greater than 300ml., pressures less 40cm. water. All were continent during day. Nocturnal enuresis observed 4 patients, responded favorably I-desamino-8-D-arginine vasopressin therapy. procedure is suitable whenever urethra can be preserved after cystectomy cancer.
