摘要: Functionalization of multi-walled carbon nanotubes can be carried out by introducing amino and thiol functional groups onto the nanotube sidewalls. This functionalized used as a new type efficient metal ions adsorbent from aqueous solutions. In this study, batch column adsorption experiments were to evaluate capacities single binary system mercury cadmium. system, maximum capacity 204.64 61.10 mg/g obtained for cadmium, respectively, while systems, values 35.89 14.09 achieved respectively. Column breakthrough curves described Yan Thomas models. The bigger rate constant (kTh) (120.77 ml/min/mg Cd(II) 9.44 Hg(II)) indicated that intensity thiolated MWCNTs was higher compared Hg(II). However, value (qe) Hg(II) (39.75 mg/g) than (9.72 in continuous system.
