摘要: Polymeric micelles are nanostructures formed by the self-aggregation of copolymeric amphiphiles above critical micellar concentration. Due to flexibility tailor different molecular features, they have been exploited encapsulate motley poorly-water soluble therapeutic agents. Moreover, possibility combine in one single aggregate and produce mixed that capitalize on features components substantially expands potential these nanocarriers. Despite their proven versatility, polymeric remain elusive market only a few products currently undergoing advanced clinical trials or reached application, all them for therapy types cancer administration intravenous route. At same time, emerge as nanotechnology platform with great non-parenteral mucosal administration. However, this, interaction mucus needs be strengthened. The present review describes attempts develop mucoadhesive discusses challenges faced near future successful bench-to-bedside translation.
