摘要: Glutathione displays multiple roles in the oxidative genotoxicity of potassium bromate. On one hand, reduced glutathione has a demonstrated role activation bromate to species capable oxidising DNA. However, if this should occur within gut or extracellularly once is absorbed, may limit ability chemical oxidise cellular DNA vivo. Moreover, offer protection against damaging produced by its interaction with Finally, exposure cells sufficiently high deplete glutathione, secondary stress and associated damage occur. These observations would suggest non-linearity dose-response
