摘要: The present invention's stratified composite material system of armor, as typically embodied, comprises a strike stratum and backing stratum. includes elastomeric matrix inventive ceramic-inclusive elements embedded therein arranged (e.g., in one or more rows columns) along geometric plane corresponding to the front (initial strike) surface More rigid than stratum, is constituted by, e.g., metallic (metal metal alloy) fiber-reinforced polymeric material. Some embodiments also comprise spall-containment fronting geometrically describe any various modes, including: first mode, having flat face textured back face; second pyramidal section prismatoidal (especially, prismoidal, truncated prismatic) body section; hybrid combining features modes.
