摘要: Biofouling refers to the undesirable accumulation of a biotic deposit on surface. The may contain micro- and macroorganisms. focus this paper is microbial fouling biofilms which consist an organic film composed microorganisms embedded in polymer matrix their own making. composite cells EPS termed biofilm. surface often significant quantities inorganic materials. Complex deposits, like those found industrial environments, intimate association with particles (1), crystalline precipitates or scale (2), and/or corrosion products (3). These complex deposits form more rapidly are tightly bound than biofilm alone. difficult characterize at microscale, i.e. cellular level.
