摘要: The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest coral reef ecosystem and one of most complex biodiverse natural systems on Earth. It northeast coast Australia remarkable variety beauty. barrier has 400 types coral, 1500 species fish, 4000 mollusk habitat for such as dugong (“sea cow”) large green turtle. stretches from low water mark along mainland up to 250 km offshore characterized by vast shallow inshore areas outer reefs, going beyond continental shelf oceanic over 2000 m deep. Within Reef, there are many islands, sometimes with more than 1000 altitude. landscapes seascapes provide spectacular maritime scenery.
