摘要: ALTHOUGH it was established by Harington and Salter (1930) that thyroxine naturally occurs in the thyroid optically active levo form, there is still considerable uncertainty as to relative potency of pure 1-thyroxine racemic until recently has been only form readily available for animal experimentation clinical use. Using compounds prepared (1928) Gaddum reported that, tested stimulation tadpole metamorphosis (1927) rat metabolism (1929-30), showed about three times d- form. Upon testing same human myxedema, Salter, Lerman Means (1935) found no difference activity.
