摘要: Transport and storage of CO2 are the elements in CCS chain with lowest cost, but they may well prove to be defining timeline for development. The EU FP7 COMET project aimed pave road towards development West Mediterranean (Portugal, Spain Morocco). This paper provides main highlights work conducted within COMET. addressed temporal spatial aspects energy sector other industrial activities relation its participation emission reduction taking into account location, capacity availability sources potential formations. Special attention was given a balanced optimization on transport modes, matching sinks, meeting optimal cost - benefit trade-offs, network infrastructure as part an international cooperation policy.
