摘要: A system of vertical drains combined with vacuum preloading is an effective method to accelerate soil consolidation by promoting radial flow. This study presents the analytical modeling incorporating in both axisymmetric and plane strain conditions. The effectiveness applied pressure along drain length considered. exact solutions on basis unit cell theory are supported finite element analysis using ABAQUS software. Subsequently, details appropriate matching procedure transforming permeability between equivalent conditions described through numerical schemes. effects magnitude distribution soft clay examined average excess pore pressure, settlement, time analyses. Lastly, practical implications this discussed.Key words: consolidation, eleme...
