摘要: Objective: Objective quantification of Frey's syndrome (gustatory sweating), following total parotidectomy. A biosensoring method enzymatic electrodes enabling the detection ofl-lactate on intact skin with use a extraction device and is presented analyzed. Design: criterion standard study. Setting: This prospective trial was undertaken at our research laboratory (University Paris [France]). Parotidectomy performed in department, which tertiary care center for parotid gland pathology. Patients: Twenty-eight patients gustatory sweating parotidectomy nine control not operated were asked to take part this Main Outcome Measures: Gustatory assessed all using clinical scale, Minor starch iodine test, thel-lactate method. Results: Instrumentation assay procedure are detailed. Statistical analysis data Kruskal-WallisHTest Mann-WhitneyUTest. Results demonstrate that enables objective measurement without need chemical reagents, continuous nondestructive real time, physiological dynamic monitoring rate production after stimulus. Data achieved strongly suggested aberrant regeneration theory main clue pathogenesis. Conclusion: safe, reliable, noninvasive, objective, highly sensitive provides an investigative tool clinicians as well physiologists involved presenting surgery.
