Investigation of Structural and Luminescent Properties of Sol-Gel-Derived Cr‑Substituted Mg3Al1-xCrx Layered Double Hydroxides.

摘要: In the present work, Cr-substituted Mg3Al1-xCrx layered double hydroxides (LDHs) were synthesised through phase conversion of sol-gel-derived mixed-metal oxides in an aqueous medium. The chromium substitution level range 1 to 25 mol% was investigated. It demonstrated that all specimens single-phase LDHs. results elemental analysis confirmed suggested synthetic sol-gel chemistry approach is suitable for preparation LDHs with a highly controllable chemical composition. surface microstructure does not depend on level. formation plate-like agglomerated particles, which consist hexagonally shaped nanocrystallites varying size from approximately 200 300 nm, observed. Optical properties investigated by means photoluminescence. All Cr-containing powders exhibited characteristic emission red region visible spectrum. strongest observed sample doped 5 Cr3+ ions. However, intensity samples 1-10 ions relatively similar. A further increase ion concentration resulted severe quenching.
