摘要: Generally, the climate is not stable. Superimposed on long-term trends are short-term variations. Climate variability result of natural fluctuations that take place various time-scales and can amplify or obscure in change. Similar patterns be found algae concentration Arctic, but drivers this have yet to determined. Changes influence variability, so examine primary production, datasets needed do exhibit trends. Because complete observational records exist, Earth System Model (ESM) EC-Earth was used. Using model, a dataset ocean biochemistry using pre-industrial with constant forcing generated. Following results earlier research, focus analysis mainly interaction between sea ice cover (proxy for light availability), planktonic production nitrate concentration. Based model simulation, extent cover, hence availability, main factor limiting growth algae.
