摘要: Abstract Electro-reduction is a promising method to pretreat anti-oxidative and bio-refractory wastewater. 2-Nitrotoluene (2-NT) was chosen as the probe compound investigate electro-reduction process. The of 2-NT diffusion-controlled process according cyclic voltammograms at Ti electrode. reductive activation [H] contributed removal 2-toluidine formation in influence several operating parameters, such current density, electrolyte concentration, initial pH value, concentration investigated using multifactor orthogonal experiment. Current density were significant factors that influenced efficiency. Although not factor for efficiency, it significantly kinetics followed pseudo-first-order reaction. It clear reduction could be enhanced by adding density. However, 10 mA cm −2 selected working subsequent experiments reduce energy consumption. 2-Nitrosotoluene, 2-toluidine, azotoluene, azoxytoluene transformation products detected system gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) pathway on cathode proposed. In pretreatment Nitroaromatic compounds (NACs) containing wastewater, electro-reduction-oxidation superior electro-oxidation improvement water quality. Thus, can reach high efficiency treatment toxic NACs wastewater under mild conditions.
