摘要: Abstract In Ethiopia, environmental degradation leads to a reduction of forest areas with economically important tree species like Boswellia papyrifera . an attempt reverse this development and assist natural rehabilitation, closing degraded from free grazing, fuel wood collection other interference is practiced in Tigray. Sustainability management will, among things, depend on the resources' tangible benefits. This study aimed determine compare net benefits (in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) per ha) closed open forestlands. Production household surveys were carried out Jijike Siye tabias Abergelle woreda northern Ethiopia. Data costs frankincense production collected firms trading product. Net forestlands croplands determined using Present Value criterion. The estimated mean productions 127 kg/ha/yr for forestland 84.54 kg/ha/yr forestland. A significant difference ( p as area always generates higher NPV than one case changes discount rate prices inputs outputs. Thus, managing through competitive land-use alternative provides both agricultural croplands.
