摘要: When the number of crystals contributing to a powder pattern peak is small, changes in position and orientation sample produce statistical variations measured integrated intensity. The statistics are those Poisson distribution, effect can be utilized very simple way for an absolute determination grain size. Only relative intensity measurements required. Grain sizes down about one or two microns by this method. There interesting possibility varying experimental conditions such as distinguish between grains subgrains.
