摘要: Abstract The fluorescence spectrum of 4-diethylaminobenzonitrile (DEABN) is compared with that 4-dimethylaminobenzonitrile (DMABN) in α-cyclodextrin (CD) aqueous solution. absence the twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) band around 460 nm case DEABN and its presence DMABN attributed to role α-CD cavity size on TICT phenomenon. diethylamino group bigger than dimethylamino most probably interlocked hydrophobic environment and, therefore, unable rotate during excited state lifetimes. This supported by decay results.
