摘要: Nontraumatic sudden and unexpected death in the young is an uncommon event, but it one that has tremendous impact on families communities. Autopsy assessments may be difficult, as many entities are rare have quite subtle manifestations. In following chapter, a range of lethal (mostly) natural diseases encountered pediatric forensic practice described involving central nervous system, respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, hematopoetic, genitourinary, infectious, endocrine, metabolic, miscellaneous conditions, latter including connective tissue chromosomal disorders. These listed Table 1.1. The issue “negative autopsy” also discussed with potential role genetic screening. Given broad nature subject matter, chapter not intended to exhaustive, covers conditions should considered during process postmortem examination process.
