摘要: Gastro-intestinal disorders are common at sea. They comprise the largest group of problems requiring radiomedical advice sea, a disorder digestive system being cause in 24.5% calls to Royal Naval Hospital, Plymouth, England (Brayley [7]). Such were also responsible for highest percentage (7.8) all landed cases. Upper gastro-intestinal conditions predominated and there is little doubt that smoking alcohol contribute this (Krasner [18]). During 100 consecutive operational patrols by British submarines with mean duration 50 days submerged, 30% acute abdominal. In addition appendicitis, these included peptic ulcer, pancreatitis, jaundice inflammatory bowel disease (Glover Taylor [14]). Infective diarrhoea, tropical infestations not uncommon ships visiting foreign ports.
