Effect of dispersant on the rheological properties of gelcast fused silica ceramics

摘要: Fused silica ceramics with high flexural strength, low porosity, dielectric constant and loss tangent were fabricated by gelcasting, a near-net shape fabrication technique. suspensions solid loading as 73 vol.% viscosity has been prepared using various dispersants in acidic alkaline regions/medium. Commercially available Darvan 821A, C-N, Dolapix A88 CE64 used dispersants. Investigations carried out to determine the suitable dispersant effects of percentage, pH value, zeta potential, on rheological properties suspension. 821A showed better results suspension fused particles aqueous gelcast system. At 1250°C strength bodies is 52.3 MPa, (1 MHz) 3.25 1 X L52M0-3 for 70 respectively. Such are highly desirable ceramic radomes lower range missiles.
