摘要: Because of the problems associated with conventional osteofixation devices used in craniomaxillofacial surgery, absorbable present an appealing alternative. Devices made polymers polylactide, polyglycolide, and their copolymers (PLGA P[L/DL]LA) are currently most commonly used. Ultrahigh-strength implants can be manufactured from these self-reinforcing technique. Over authors' almost two decades study, both experimental clinical settings, self-reinforced have proved to biocompatible, easy handle, mechanically strong, even for fixation femoral neck fractures. In authors over 8 years without complications. more favored degradation characteristics, copolymeric (P[L/DL]LA, Biosorb FX PLGA, PDX; Elite Performance Technologies, Solana Beach, Calif.) represent advancing front application surgery. The share experience studies devices, which possess highest strength ductility all bioabsorbable products.
