摘要: As a result of high divorce rates and increasing proportions women in relatively unstable cohabiting relationships, the population potentially entering second unions has increased. Using recent survey data from Sweden Norway life table techniques, this study examines both rate at which form type union they choose to enter (either marriage or cohabitation) as well how process changed over time. In addition, extent premarital cohabitations postmarital marry separate is addressed. The results show that nonmarital cohabitation by far preferred Norway, although became widespread earlier than Norway. increase appears have contributed decline delay remarriage among divorced population, asfew time without first. differences between with respect prevalence its function family formation are discussed.
