摘要: A series of amines were effective as additives for the control and rate enhancement living radical polymerization methyl methacrylate (MMA) with RuCl2(PPh3)3. On addition n-Bu3N n-Bu2NH, R−Cl/RuCl2(PPh3)3 in toluene at 80 °C reached 90% conversion 50 h 94% 20 h, respectively, while only 46% 120 without additives. The polymers obtained n-Bu2NH had controlled molecular weights that increased direct proportion to monomer narrow MWDs (Mw/Mn = 1.1−1.2). This is sharp contrast uncontrolled broad 1.7−2.0) additive-free systems. Primary like n-BuNH2 cyclic secondary piperidine induced much faster polymerizations result 1.7−1.8). Other such pyridines, amides, alcohols, phenols, esters, dimanies not ruthenium-catalyzed polymerizations. Interactions between added...
