摘要: With the diffusive separation of upper atmosphere horizontal motions lead to differentiation in composition. Thermally driven winds effectively transport lighter and minor species from warmer toward cooler regions on globe. Due abundance atomic oxygen a back pressure develops which significantly dampens wind velocities increases temperature contrast. During summer under magnetically disturbed conditions, observed large enhancements depletions 0 He are prominent manifestations these processes at polar latitudes. As feedback mechanism, advective mass completely changes “primary” composition effects induced by eddy diffusion. Owing rotational nature EXB momentum coupling its signature is comparatively weak, clearly distinguishable Joule dissipation.
